Within this book, I wanted to create clean and formal typesetting for each page which I subtly contrast with the use of color. The burnt red-orange that I applied was carefully chosen as it represents the dried blood that was caused by the abusiveness of slavery. In this way, it would seem as if the type is blended with marks of dried blood.
