Some of the designers that were featured in the Lorem Ipsum BFA Thesis Show were also the ones who curated the show and designed its visual identity. As part of that team, we wanted the show's identity to be able to encapsulate all of the participants and their works in a impartial, yet connective way. Designers are most likely familiar with the phrase, "lorem ipsum", as it is Latin gibberish that is used as placeholder text. We combined that concept with the visual interface that many of our design programs share by incorporating guidelines, text boxes, dimensions, etc. As a result, a visual identity that calls back to the roots of many projects is successfully presented which unifies the show's works in a physical, conceptual, and sentimental manner.
