In order to convey how inescapable the influence of light pollution is, I decided to 3D print a terrain map of the Greater New York City region and wire LED lights through the map to represent the density of luminance. On top of the 3D print is an acrylic square with a topographic map made of vinyl, which perfectly lines up with the print, which helps the audience read the map easier. I accompanied the installation with a wide-format poster of light pollution through a satellite scan.
